ITIA Bulletin

In December 2002 after a series of discussions with the then Chairman Michael McCann and the Executive Committee of the Irish Translators’ & Interpreters’ Association, I established the ITIA Bulletin.  This was to become the ITIA’s monthly electronic publication and within a very short period of time, the number of subscribers from all over the world receiving the Bulletin each month reached over 1000.

I continued as the founding editor until December 2003 when the demands of my PhD research, translation activities and work designing the International Association for Translation & Intercultural Studies website meant I could no longer devote the time necessary to ensure the ongoing success of the Bulletin. Although I am no longer editor I am still involved in the production and layout of the ITIA Bulletin under its current editor. During my time as editor, I was responsible for publishing the following issues:

January 2003 July 2003
February 2003 August 2003
March 2003 September 2003
April 2003 October 2003
May 2003 November 2003
June 2003 December 2003

As well as editing each issue, I also wrote the following articles for the ITIA Bulletin.

Review of “Langenscheidts Fachwörterbuch Technik und angewandte Wissenschaften” In: ITIA Bulletin, October 2003, Irish Translators’ & Interpreters’ Association
Tackling Spam Head-on”. In: ITIA Bulletin, August 2003, Irish Translators’ & Interpreters’ Association
